AHP for choosing a job
Luckily, I have got a couple of job offers since arriving in Korea. However, the problem was that most offers were not related to “what I’ve been looking for = sustainability issue”, but the companies wanted ”the money maker who is educated in Cambridge”. For this reason, the shortlist were just two companies – an environmental consultancy, and an IT company which starts a Smart/Micro Grid business. For a wise decision making, I used AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process), and got a conclusion for my future job. The first intensity for AHP was ‘Fit for future goal’ which was followed by ‘Position’ and ‘Salary’ as the second and third. In retrospect, finding a job was much more tough than I thought, and finding the fit job for my future goal was extremely difficult especially in Korea because the sustainable issues and related businesses are just in their initial stage in Korea. Anyway, I finished the decision and start a new job on 14th of November, and now I really thank God, family members and friends. Thank you all.
