His departure is seen as a sign of instability in Russian economic policy making and has led to an open breach between the finance ministry and security agencies. The government needs to make some major decisions about how to manage its oil wealth, Rory MacFarquhar, a director in Goldman Sachs Moscow office, said in a telephone interview Friday. This case could cause the finance officials to take a much more risk averse approach to investment. Over years of high oil prices, Russia has salted away billions in oil money in its Stabilization Fund. In January, Moscow will split it into two funds: the Reserve Fund and the Fund of National Prosperity, the latter intended for state investments. How this money will be invested, and who will make those decisions, is in contention. Russian media have interpreted Mr. Storchaks arrest as an effort by security services to...http://coolnews-4u.com/

The store is a franchise. Since I started a year ago, the rest of the staff has turned over completely, including management, and my present co workers were hired three to four months ago. Since then, the owner has been frustrated with errors made at the till, which have lost her money. Now, the owner has instituted a policy to charge cashiers for the shortfalls. She provides a small monthly fund that covers any errors in the cash balance, since they can't be attributed to a particular person. We are supposed to split the cost of any cash errors above that amount. We are expected to pay the money in cash to her since legally she can't take it out of our paycheques. Do you have any comments on the ethics of this policy? A It's easy to understand the owner's position. Cashiers are evidently either being sloppy or stealing and that has to stop. The owner's policy has two virtues. First, she...http://coolnews-4u.com/

The Montreal Alouettes safety claimed the second annual award in an Internet poll of Canadian football fans. For winning the honour, Gibson's Finest made a $10,000 donation to the charity of Boulay's choice, the Quebec Cancer Foundation. "A lot of people in my family have been affected by cancer," said the 24 year old Montreal native. "I think it's something everyone knows about and knows someone who's been affected. "Even on the Alouettes, the wife of our quarterback Anthony Calvillo was diagnosed with cancer. It was my chance, my opportunity to give back for a great cause." Last month, Calvillo took an indefinite leave of absence from the...http://bestnews-4u.com/

LIVELY PERFORMANCE: Children with learning difficulties perform at the anniversary celebration of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre in Chennai on Thursday. CHENNAI: The 11th anniversary celebration of Alpha to Omega Learning Centre here on Thursday turned to be a colourful event with the auditorium reverberating with cheers and applause from the audience after every performance. The only difference was that the performers were children with learning difficulties and developmental challenges. Every performance of the students, adorned in bright attires, had a social message. While the junior students danced to a Tamil song on obedience to elders, the seniors highlighted the importance of conservation of nature through a dance drama. The jungle dance that portrayed the revelry of tribal warriors and their unity won a generous round of applause from the audience for the young performers who had put in their best talent. Not preferring Ledley King and Wes Brown to Jamie Carragher in Estonia, which led to the latter's retirement from international football? Not dropping David Beckham to make himself look tough and then twice recalling him? Not putting in novice goalkeeper Scott Carson on Wednesday? Although he denied selling his story to a national newspaper, the unforthcoming McClaren said: "What have I learned? Read the book!" You will find it in the mythology section. Wally with a brolly: Steve McClaren failed to accept his own blunders England in dreamland When will England's footballers ever learn, part 322. Last week, we reported how Steven Gerrard had claimed that it was such a pity that the team looked like missing out on Euro 2008 because, wait for it, England would have been one of the best teams there. Let us face it, with only Germany,...http://bestnews-4u.com/

On our doormat at home yesterday landed one of the 7.5 million letters from HMRC sent to explain how they lost my wife's personal details along with the records of 25 million other Britons. The letter is just a small symbol of the dysfunction dogging this government. Only a citizen with no access to a television, radio or newspapers could have missed the Government's lame explanation for how it all happened. There was no point writing to those affected. Sending the letters second class at 24p meant a postage bill of £1.8 million for telling us what we already know. On top of the cost to the public and banks already incurred in this farce it is loose change; to a taxpayer this is a reminder of how casually our Government throws around money it presumes mistakenly to be its own. Ultimately, Alistair Darling's embarrassment is an illustration of the looming limits on government in what David Cameron is calling the post bureaucratic age. When the records of almost...http://bestnews-4u.com/
